Sunday, February 17, 5:00 – 6:00 pm: Let the exquisite music and gentle cadence of the ancient service of Evensong help to end your day in peace and hope. Featuring choral music by the Saint Peter’s choir, hymns, and psalms, including music by Philip Stopford, William Byrd, and Philip Moore (see our Facebook page for music details). To attend, enter the church by its front door on Massachusetts Avenue.
Wednesday, February 13, 7:15-8:15 pm: Meet Saint Peter’s organ! Jonathan Ambrosino, an organ restoration specialist, will explain the workings of our historic organ. We’ll explore the keyboard and peek into the mysterious organ room. Come at 6:30 pm to share in a simple dinner before the forum begins. To enter, ring the doorbell at the 13 Sellers St. entrance of the church.
Saint Peter’s choir is always happy to receive new members. No audition is required, and you don’t need to have any special training. If you love to sing, you will be welcome. To join the choir, contact our Minister of Music, Paul Keene, email@example.com. Choir practice is Thursdays 6:45 – 8 pm, and the choir warms up at 10 am prior to the second sunday worship service.
